Welcome to the First Monster Challenge 09.

The First Monster Challenge is one of the UK’s most popular duathlon (that’s running and cycling) events.

This is a unique 120km challenge for teams of four around the breathtaking shores of Loch Ness, in the Highlands of Scotland. The First Monster Challenge has become an incredibly popular annual event and entries for Monster 09 are in high demand – we expect a sell out!

2009 date confirmed: Saturday 12 September

Make sure you get your team together and sign up for an experience you will never forget.

Each team member completes one running leg (approximately 10km) and one cycle leg (approximately 20km) of the eight-legged event. You'll be competing with 250 other teams across some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.

And of course – you'll be racing against some serious celebrity talent. Watch this space for news of some famous faces who will be taking part and raising money for First’s charity partner, Save the Children.
